Sat Aug 7 thru Aug 22: Simply Seniors, an exhibit of work created by students in Renee Sherry's Art Class at the Camarillo Community Senior Center. The show, curated by Bob Doren, is the first public showing of work by the artists. An opening reception and the awarding of prizes will take place on Sunday, August 7 from 1-4 pm. The Camarillo Art Center is located at 3150 Ponderosa Dr., at the corner of Eston. The public is invited to view the exhibit on Saturdays and Sundays through August 22 during the hours of 1 and 4 pm. Mon-Fri, Aug 9-13: “Galactic Blast: A Cosmic Adventure Praising God” is the theme for Camarillo United Methodist Church's annual Vacation Bible School. 9 to 11:30 a.m. daily at various locations throughout the church grounds. The vacation Bible school is open to all children entering kindergarten through the fifth grade. Cost is $25 per child with a maximum of $40 per family.
